“Books and ideas are the most effective weapons against intolerance and ignorance.”
—President Lyndon B. Johnson |
We are grateful to you for writing books that help young people get through a difficult period in their lives, and that continue to educate them as adults.
You show people that although we are each unique, we are more alike than we realize. You teach us that although we come in all colors, shapes and sizes, and that we’re spectacular in our diversity, no one is “other,” and our diversity makes us stronger. You expose us to our complicated, rich, shared history. These are all very special gifts you have given us, and for this, again, we say “thank you.” If, after all you’ve already done, you want to contribute to BBFA, we will graciously accept your donation. If you also want to contribute in a way that very few others can, there is something else that you can do. Send us signed copies of your books that have been banned. We will distribute them to young people or use them as “thank you” gifts to donors. Send your books to: Banned Books for All 7 Caliente Road Suite A11, Box 1209 Santa Fe, NM 87508 |
Many publishers support nonprofits that align with their interests. If your publisher is engaged in charitable giving, please encourage them to make a donation to Banned Books for All so that we can assure access to your books and the books of others.
